Performing a Seed Load Backup

A seed load backup is used when a customer has a large amount of data they want to backup to our secure cloud servers but want to minimize the initial transfer time.  This can be due to lackluster internet speeds, the sheer amount of overall data, or similar.  This type of backup can only be used for an initial backup of data, not for incremental.  To perform this, we install the DataMate Backup Manager on a system, setup a temporary external hard drive or NAS, perform an initial backup locally to this device.  We then securely transport your information to our data center facility and upload it to our secure cloud servers.  Once this this complete, the backup software will then be setup to perform incremental backups regularly over the internet as normal.
